BIO
Jill is an Omaha NE native, a Central High School
grad who receIved a BFA in dramatic arts with honors from the University of Nebraska at
Omaha. Her home base is New York City. In addition to her musical career, Jill performs both on stage and
in film and does commercial and voice-over work.
Her most recent film work was in August 2002 for an episode of the PBS series, The American Experience. She portrayed Emma Goldman in the live action vignettes. No word on release date for this episode.
She played a bridesmaid in Alexander Payne's About Schmidt, which was released late in 2002 to general critical acclaim and award nominations. Click here for Jill's comments on her About Schmidt experience.
Previously, she has worked as an extra and had small roles in other projects, including Sean Penn's Indian Runner and Alexander Payne's Citizen Ruth.
She was the co-lead in Dan Mirvish's quirky feature film, Omaha, the movie in 1995. Click its title for a link to movie information on Dan Mirvish's web site.

CONCERTS
Jill coproduced a musical revue, Moonlight
Melodies, with Camille Metoyer Moten in 2003 featuring songs of the
early to mid 20th century, with a special section on World War 2 era music by
the Andrews Sisters. This popular show was originally presented in May and
reprised on three consecutive Sundays in September under the name Sunday
Serenade. In 2000, 2001 and 2002 Jill
performed with Opera Omaha in various concerts and shows presented at the Lied Center in
Lincoln, NE; the Brownville, NE, historic concert hall; and the Orpheum Theatre
in Omaha.
In June 2001 she was one of four singers in a concert
presented by the New York Festival of Song at the Woodrow Wilson Theatre
in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. ( Click here
to read all about it. ) Jill has presented concerts of the music featured
on her CDs in Omaha as well.
STAGE
Jill has performed in numerous area theatres over the past several years,
including many leading roles. To mention only a few:
She won the Theatre Arts Guild award for best actress in a drama for the role of Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker as a guest artist at the Omaha Community Playhouse,
She was nominated for best actress portraying Elmire in the Blue Barn Theatre's Tartuffe.
She played Viola in Nebraska Shakespeare Festival's Twelfth Night (see photo and more information on News page).
She played multiple roles in the Blue Barn's Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. (For photos and reviews click the play title.)
She was heralded for her work in the Blue Barn's Fuddy Meers as Claire. Click title for photo and more information.
Jill performed Bronte, a one-woman play about Charlotte Bronte, for Brigit St. Brigit Theatre.
She was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors for the Playhouse, and has had extensive experience with the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival.
ORIGINAL WORKS
Jill has co-written and produced shows with Bad Rep Productions
partner Tim Siragusa. The shows, Psychobilly Jamboree (1999) and How
Ghetto Claus Funked Christmas (2000) both received Theatre Arts Guild awards
for Outstanding New Script. Jill was also recognized for costuming Ghetto
Claus. She composed music for both productions. Their
latest offering, Little Nellie's Naughty Noel: A Steamy Sodhouse
Spectacular, was an irreverent send-up of the prairie literature genre
a la Little House on the Prairie.
